Notes: Enlisted in the Revolutionary service in January 1777 in Prince Edward C ounty, VA. He participated in the battles of Brandywine, Germantown, T renton and Princeton, and was discharged at Valley Forge in 1779. He m oved to Surry Co., NC, and served five months in Capt. James Shepherd's N C Company and was in the Battle of Greenbrier Creek.
